Jalebi

Ingredients

All purpose flour : 1 cup
Gram flour (besan) : 2 tsp
Curd : 1/2 cup
Sugar : 2 cup
Eno/sodabi carbonate : 1 pinch
Saffron (kesar): 1/2 tsp
Oil for frying

Method

  1. Mix sugar in a cup of water. Boil for 2-3 times and then turn off the gas.
  2. Mix all purpose flour and besan. Add curd and saffron into it. Add little water and finally add soda. Mix well.
  3. Now take a big vessel. Heat oil. You can use plastic bag or any cloth for making jalebies. Put paste into the plastic bag and make round jalebies. Fry from both sides. When turn into brown, remove from the kadai & put into the sugar syrup for 1 minute. Remove fast from the sugar syrup & then put hot jalebi into plate.
