This movie certainly cashing on the current crisis situation between India and Pakistan.

Maa Tujhhe Salaam is the story of an Indian military officer. Major Pratap Singh (Sunny Deol), who aborted a vast terrorist infiltration attempts of an enemy country single handedly with the help of few local civilians, at the mountain ravines area near the border of Kashmir. The actual fact is that Sunny does not have a major role to play in this movie but since the distributors wanted to cash on his name - they have made us feel that he is the lead star of the movie.

Zhonabad is the name of an area which is situated at the high attitude mountain ravines near the border of India.

In this area a man called Lala (Tinu Verma) lives. Since his ancestors were the landlords of this area before Independence, Lala is very influential and respected person over there. But behind the curtain, he is an agent of an enemy country. He helps that country in infiltration of terrorists and ammunition through the passes in mountains known to him and his men only. Because in the winter season the weather condition of this area becomes unfit for the human beings, all inhabitants of the area shift to another places from there.

Lala takes advantage of this situation. Albaksh (Arbaaz Khan) is an illiterate person. He works like a slave for Lala without knowing that Lala is anti-national. He is Lala's main henchman. The movie belongs to Arbaaz and he has done good justice to his role, he even looks great in this film. This film should certainly do wonders to his film career which has not taken him in a big manner.

One military intelligence Captain Sonia (Tabu) gives a piece of information to military about the anti-national activities of Lala and Albaksh.

Military authorities order Major Pratap to go to Zhonabad for the enquiry about the Lala and Albaksh.

But meanwhile Albaksh comes to know the real motive of the Lala's activities. He opposes and becomes enemy of Lala. Lala frames and portrays Albaksh as a traitor and the terrorist in the eyes of law. The police arrest and put him behind the bar.

Major Pratap meets Albaksh. Albaksh tells him the planning of a vast terrorists infiltration into the country through Zhonabad. Since the time is not enough for Indian military force to peach Zhonabad and stop the infiltration, Major Pratap decides to fight the battle alone with the help of Albaksh and the local people.

Pratap is in love with Captain Sonia (Tabu), who gets to do a sexy cabaret number in a terrorists' den--all for the love of the motherland--and then move aside while Pratap comes in guns blazing. Albaksh has a girlfriend (Monal).

Once again the history of bravery and patriotism is written with the blood of Major Pratap and Albaksh and the Indian Army defeats the enemy.

The scene where the classic song of Haqeeqat "Ab tumahare hawale watan saathiyon' is playing on the radio while the soldier dies listening to his request played by Radio Jockey Ammen Sayani. Also, the lines "Doodh maango kheer denge, Kashmir maango cheer denge."

Seem to be catching up with audiences here in India.

The fight scenes are greats and is the picturesque view of Kashmir. The script is loose but few of the dialogues are powerful. Tabu's role is wasted doing item numbers and just in between Malaaika Arora too is seen in an item number to balance the intense violence seen in this flick. Plenty of anti-Pakistan dialogues in this movie. The newcomer Monal looks refreshing and sweet.

Music of Sajid-Wajid is bad. But overall a good watch for all you dishum-dishum fans.
