Anil Kapoor Joins The Ranks

Anil Kapoor is finally gonna join the ranks of Naushad, Lata Mangeshkar, Dilip Kumar, Dev Anand, Amitabh Bachchan, Ashok Kumar and A R Rehman - all of whom have received the 'Awadh Samman.' Apparently, the Uttar Pradesh government and the Indian Academy of Art and Culture which have jointly instituted the 'Awadh Samman' award in recognition of contribution of artistes in the field of art and culture, have selected the veteran actor as the next recipient of the award. The award, which carries a cash prize of one lakh rupees and a citation, will be presented to Anil on June 11 this year in recognition of his valuable contribution in the field of art and culture. He certainly deserves it!

According to the reports, the film is supposed to be an adaptation of the Hollywood hit Notting Hill, which had Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant in the lead. Seems like with a combo of Kajol and Vivek Oberoi, Zoya already has a winner on her hands!
