Gulshan Kumar Killer Convicted

The Gulshan Kumar murder case finally came to an end with the accused Rauf alias Raha Daud Merchant, being sentenced to life imprisonment by the Sessions Court. Sixteen others were acquitted including Tips Cassettes owner Ramesh Taurani and Merchant's brother. Rauf is one of the three hit-men who shot the owner of T-Series, Gulshan Kumar, on August 12, 1997. One of the most controversial happenings in the film industry, the case generated a lot of interest all over the country.
