Big B witnesses fan mania in Durban

The rough weather and the heavy rain could do little to hamper the excitement of thousands of Amitabh Bachchan's fans in South African City Durban who gathered at the airport to catch a glimps of the legendary actor and welcome him.

Surprised at the grand welcome he received from the crowd Big B said: "I would not have believed that so many people would brave the weather to meet me. My fans in South Africa have always received me with the warmth and love unmatched anywhere in the world."

Big B, who's touring South Africa to promote his latest film Aankhen, was given exclusive coverage by the local media there. The National broadcaster SABC TV covered his arrival at the Durban airport and also aired a special piece about his life and work. Besides this, several editorials on Big B (including his posters) have appeared in Durban newspapers - The Post, Daily News and Mercury.

After Durban Big B is scheduled to visit Cape Town and Johannesburg.
