Arjun Rampal Out of "Bisaat"

It seems that Vashu Bhagnani´s next with Arjun Rampal, Ritesh Deshmukh and Esha Deol will no longer feature Arjun Rampal. The movie as you may recall is tentatively titled Bisaat and was initially announced with the three of them together.

However, some problems between Arjun and Vashu have lead to this development. Look for more news on this as it arrives. As of now, the film stars politician´s son Ritesh Deshmukh, Esha Deol and has music by Himesh Reshammiya.

 

Dil Ka Rishta enters UK charts

The Aishwarya Rai-Arjun Rampal starrer Dil Ka Rishta seems to be drawing movie buffs to theatres in UK.

Dil Ka Rishta may have enjoyed only a fair run at home, but the movie is raking it in at UK box office and in South Africa.

In the very first week of its release, the movie has entered the UK charts at number 12, two places behind two Hollywood releases, '8 Mile' and 'The Transporter'.

The movie raked in a respectable amount of £108,120 in the first three days at British cinemas.

Dil Ka Rishta has also set a record opening in South Africa, performing better than last year’s hit Devdas.

The old bond of friendship between Aishwarya Rai and Arjun Rampal was evident on the shooting sets of duo’s first film together – Dil Ka Rishta.

The friendship dates back to their modeling days when the two used to walk the ramp together. Cracking jokes and playing pranks was commonplace between them.

And now that Ash and Arjun are walking the reel for director Naresh Malhotra’s film Dil Ka Rishta, their purani dosti seems to have firmed up.

While shooting for a romantic scene for the film, both Ash and Arjun reportedly broke out laughing instead of giving sentimental, lovelorn expression.

And when the director insisted on a retake, the actors still couldn’t enact the scene and again broke out laughing.

To the entertainment of the helping hands on the shooting sets, the said scene was canned after many retakes.

Dil Ka Rishta is co-produced by Ash’s brother Aditya and the script has been written by her mother Vrinda.

 

Ash, Arjun come together for Asambhav
Aishwarya Rai and Arjun Rampal seems to have become the most sought-after onscreen jodi in Bollywood.

The duo, who will soon be seen playing lovers in director Naresh Malhotra’s Dil Ka Rishta, are getting offers from Bollywood dream merchants for similar roles.

The two have been signed by director Rajiv Rai to act in his next film which is tentatively titled Asambhav.

The film, however, is not a romantic movie but a thriller that has Arjun playing an angry young man. Ash plays the woman who understands his ideals.

Rajiv, whose last film Pyar Ishq aur Mohabbat (with Arjun) bit the dust at the box office, is planning to start shooting for the film early next year.

Arjun and Ash might also be seen cootchie-cooing in ace cinematographer Ashok Mehta’s second directorial venture.

Arjun bags two Ashok Mehta films

Arjun Rampal is reported to have signed two important projects to be made by cinematographer-turned-director Ashok Mehta.

Arjun seems to have become a favorite of noted cinematographer Ashok Mehta. He made his acting debut alongside Manisha Koirala in Ashok’s directorial debut Moksha which unfortunately bit the dust at the box office.

However, Mehta and Arjun developed a rapport during the making of the film and now Mehta is reported to have signed Arjun for his two next films.

Mehta is believed to have approached Aishwarya Rai to play the female lead for one of the films but nothing has been finalized as yet.

The yet-to-be-titled project will go on floors in January next year.

It may be mentioned that Ash and Arjun are also acting together in Naresh Malhotra’s forthcoming film Dil Ka Rishta for which Mehta has handled the camera.

Bollywood finds Arjun ideal for romantic roles
Model-turned-actor Arjun Rampal’s finely chiseled looks and well-toned physique has made him an ideal romantic hero on the silver screen.

Arjun, who came to notice playing the Romeo-like roles in films like Pyar Ishq Aur Mohabbat, Deewanapan and Dil Hai Tumhara, seems to have become Bollywood producer’s preferred choice to play the hero in romantic films.

Recently ‘showman’ Subhash Ghai signed up Arjun to play the title role in his film Majnu.

And now there is talk that former Ramgopal Varma assistant E. Niwas (director of Love Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega, has approached Arjun for a similar role in his film which is tentatively titled Abb (‘Now’).

The film, to be produced by the makers of Dil Vil Pyar Vyar, will have one of top Bollywood actresses playing Arjun’s ladylove.
