Kyon Ho Gaya Na Pyar? Aishwarya & Vivek in Wales.

Bollywood's popular actress Aishwarya Rai will be visiting Wales next month with Vivek Oberoi to shoot for her forthcoming movie Kyon Ho Gaya Na Pyar? The pair will be filming rally scenes for the film, which also stars Amitabh Bachchan in an important role. Wales is becoming an increasingly popular location for Bollywood movies and is proving competition to the likes of Switzerland, which has been used for countless Indian films in the past. "It is great news for Wales that it is being promoted in such a way, and I am very pleased there is this interest in people coming to film," said North Wales Tourism spokesman Jon Richmond. "It will be another boost to the tourist industry, particularly if places featured are identifiable." Hollywood is also realising the potential of filming in Wales. The forthcoming action flick Tomb Raider 2 was shot there last year.

Although Vivek Oberoi’s last movie Saathiya fared average at the box-office, it’s director Shaad Ali has signed the young actor for yet another movie.

Saathiya seems to have done a lot of good to the ‘road’ boy who is rising the popularity index in Bollywood with every movie.

First it was Saathiya producer Mani Ratnam who signed Vivek for his next production which will be directed by Ratnam himself.

And now it is learnt that Vivek has been roped in to play the leading role in director Shaad Ali’s next movie, which is yet to be titled.

Vivek’s co-star in the movie is also not finalized as yet

Salman Khan threatens Vivek Oberoi

Today (1st April) Vivek oberoi has said in a press conference that he received a death threat from Salman Khan over the phone on 31st March. Apparently Salman Khan rang Vivek Oberoi at 12:30am on the 31st of March saying that he would kill him.

According to Vivek, Salman was drunk at the time he rang him. Vivek Oberoi did not go into much detail about the phone call but said it was shocking.

Salman Khan is again in the news, not surprisingly, for all the wrong reasons. The upcoming Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi called a press conference at his residence in Mumbai on Tuesday, April 1st, and stated that “Salman threatened to kill me” over numerous telephone calls Salman made to Vivek during the last weekend. Vivek alleged that Salman accused him of having affairs with Aishwarya Rai (who Vivek is currently working with in the forthcoming “Kyun Ho Gaya Na Pyaar”), Diya Mirza, and a few other Bollywood actresses. Vivek said Salman seemed to be under the influence of alcohol and used abusive language, at times even verbally abusing Vivek’s father Suresh Oberoi. Salman threatened that he would come over to Vivek’s home and kill him. The telephone calls were made to Vivek in the wee hours of March 30, and at one point, Vivek said he even stood outside his home waiting for Salman to come and confront him. On March 31, Vivek left for Chennai to attend a scheduled meeting with a prodcuer, and then received a phone call from one of his friends that he should avoid coming back to Mumbai because Salman’s bodyguards were looking for him. Vivek returned to Mumbai quickly and decided to call the press conference. Vivek said he had informed the police and would be filing a complaint soon.
