Permanent Entry Visas: Permanent
entry visa applications from India (except for those points
tested applications mentioned under the Mumbai entry), Bhutan,
Nepal and Sikkim are lodged, processed and decided in New
Delhi. Permanent entry visas from Bangladesh are lodged
in Dhaka and forwarded to New Delhi for processing and decision.
Temporary Entry Visas: Temporary entry visa applications
for India (except those mentioned under the Mumbai entry),
Bhutan and Nepal are lodged, processed and decided in New
Delhi.
NOTE: New Delhi handles student visa applications for
ALL India.

Permanent Entry Visas: Since April
2000 skilled migration points tested applications from ALL
Indian states have been lodged, processed and decided in
the Mumbai Office. All other permanent entry visa applications
are lodged, processed and decided in New Delhi.
Temporary Entry Visas: Since February 2000 Mumbai
has accepted and decided ALL temporary entry visa applications
for the following states - Maharashtra, Kerala, Goa, Gujarat,
Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Naidu - with the exception
of students which are done for the whole of India by the
Visa Office in New Delhi.
